Unfamiliar 'Names'

Sometimes we read articles about network application but not familiar with few names in it. There are many unfamiliar names that can be found in the discussion of Computer Network,

i’ll share few names that i know like :

Host

Usually formed by individual workstation or PC where task from this host mostly is to run application and server software program that work as user and as the communication network provider.

Nodes

PC,Printer,Router,Switches,and even your cell phone or something that can be shared or used to transmit any datas from one to another and does reversal, its not how it works

but about the device itself which can receive or transfer datas in a network,as long as it works and somehow connected to a network it can called a node.

Router

It’a device that are used to connect two network or more, it has few gates depends on types,

i asumed this how the router work :

the receiver gate is to receive data from another network and then the data go to the destiination gate then transfer it to the destination gate.
